NDE Professional Learning
Overview
Professional learning is the cornerstone to elevated instructional practices. Continued and varied professional learning are recognized as essential aspects in leveraging and maintaining high quality instruction. Professional learning highlights include annual summits, administrator-focused training, webinars, professional learning modules in a statewide LMS (Canvas), and asynchronous training options focused on best practices and instructional shifts.
The Nevada Department of Education offers multiple options for educators to participate in professional learning (PL). All educators will earn PL hours for license renewal. Educators will have to work with their own districts to determine if credits are allowable for salary advancements, this cannot be guaranteed by the Nevada Department of Education.
