About the Conference

The Nevada Department of Education and Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities are once again teaming up with the International Center for Leadership in Education for the 2011 Mega Conference to bring quality professional development to Nevada's teachers. This three-day conference will kick-off with a presentation by Dr. Michael Fullan, Dean of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. An innovator and leader in teacher education, Dr. Fullan has developed a number of partnerships designed to bring about major school improvement and educational reform. He participates as researcher, consultant, trainer, and policy advisor on a wide range of educational change projects with school systems, teachers' federations, research and development institutes, and government agencies in Canada and internationally, and is widely published on the topic of educational change.

The Mega Conference will be held April 8-10, 2011 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
