    Annual American Indian/Alaska Native Education Summit to be Held at TMCC on March 21-22

    CARSON CITY, Nev. – “Equity: A Voice for All Students” will be the theme of the 12th annual American Indian/Alaska Native Education Summit that will take place March 21-22 at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in Reno. The summit is sponsored by the Nevada Department of Education, TMCC, the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Nevada Indian Commission.

    “With the venue being held at TMCC, we are focusing this year’s summit on the state’s efforts to promote college and career pathways,” said Fredina Drye-Romero, Director of Indian Education at the Nevada Department of Education. “This is a wonderful opportunity for educators from throughout Nevada to come together to address the state of Indian Education in Nevada.”
