Charter School Program Grant
Description: Authorized by Title V, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) the Federal Charter Schools Program (CSP) provides funding to state educational agencies (SEAs) with the purpose of increasing national understanding of the charter school model and to expand the number of high-quality charter schools available to students across the nation. This is accomplished by providing financial assistance for the planning, program design, and implementation of new charter schools and to support current charter schools in school improvement efforts.
Eligible Entities: Any current subgrantee of the Charter School Program grant. New charter schools may be eligible for the Opportunity 180 Charter School program grant.
