Overview

Appropriates $11.2 million in each year of thebiennium to maintain the Social Workers in School Program that provides a socialworker or other licensed mental health worker in select schools.  The Department of Education, through the Office for a Safe and Respectful Learning Environment, will distributeblock grants to school districts and charter schools to provide for contractsocial workers or other licensed mental health workers in schools to support students.
