Nevada State Board of Education Changes Board Meeting Days and Times

    May 25, 2023

CARSON CITY, Nev.– The Nevada State Board of Education (SBE or Board) will now hold its meetingson Wednesdays instead of Thursdays. In addition, SBE will be shifting to asummer schedule for its June and July board meetings. The board meetings willbe held at 9:00 A.M. instead of 2:00 P.M. in June and July.

The Board voted to make theschedule changes during its April meeting. SBE decided to create a summerschedule because board members felt it would be easier for the public to attendduring the cooler morning hours. During the school year, the Board wants toensure teachers and students can attend, so they kept the meetings at 2:00 P.M. You can watch the full video of the April 2023Nevada State Board of Education meeting where the board voted to change themeeting days and times here.
