SEL aligns with Career and Workforce Development in that

    •  Students need academic knowledge, training, and credentials.
    •  Social and emotional skills are necessary for success in work and life.
    •  Students need a wide range of skills and attitudes:
      • The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and others
      •  Know how to cultivate relationships with mentors and others who can support them in their career path and life
      •  Develop and sustain a sense of purpose and belonging
      •  How to be mentally and physically healthy
      •  How to be civically engaged and culturally responsive
These SEL skills support well-being in students' careers, communities, and personal lives

    • Nevada Statewide Social and Emotional Competencies.
