Dual Credit Request Process

Dual credit courses provide all Nevada students with the opportunity to earn credit toward graduation and college credit simultaneously. LEAs and Charter Schools must submit the following materials in ADA compliant format:

  • Letter of intent (to include the name(s) of the higher education institutions)
  • A copy of the cooperative agreement or Memo of Understanding (MOU) between the local district(s) and/or charter school and higher education institution(s)
  • List proposed in alpha numerical order using fillable PDF spreadsheet
  • District Board meeting approval date
  • Official district meeting minutes documenting district board approval of submitted dual credit courses

Dual Credit Course Submissions

Please use the fillable PDF spreadsheet to list submissions in order, using the criteria below:

  • Course code
  • Course code number
  • Complete course name (no abbreviations, please)
  • School Courses for the Exchange of Data (SCED) code
  • Course area (core subject area or CTE)
  • Corresponding Core or CTE Content Area (see table below)
  • College course credit amount to be earned by the student
  • High school credit amount to be earned by the student
  • Additional high school grade point average (GPA) credit
  • NSHE institution/out-of-state higher education institution
