Dual Credit Request Process:
LEAs and Charter Schools must submit the following materials in ADA compliant format:
- Letter of intent (to include the name(s) of the higher education institutions)
- A copy of the cooperative agreement or Memo of Understanding (MOU) between the local district(s) and/or charter school and higher education institutions
- List proposed in alpha numerical order (to include correct course titles) and the name of the institution providing the course(s)
- Supporting documentation for proposed course list: course descriptions, syllabus, etc.
All documents must be submitted electronically and as ADA compliant. Otherwise, documents will be returned to the requestor for revision.
*Note that the following course types will not be approved, and any submission including these course types in the application packet will cause a delay in the review process.
- Remedial and developmental courses (i.e., no course(s) with a code under 100).
- Course(s) that are deemed inappropriate for high school students due to the content being of a mature nature.
- Courses such as internships and special topics are not allowable due to a lack of connection to the Nevada Academic Content Standards.
- Physical Education (PE) activity classes such as yoga, basketball, and weightlifting.
- Any course that does not lead to the completion of a credential, certificate, and/or degree.
