Overview

Maintains the existing State General Fund of $8 million and appropriates an additional$2 million over the biennium for College and Career Readiness Grants. TheDepartment will continue this competitive grant program with an emphasis toprovide every student in every high school every opportunity to participate inadvanced coursework, dual enrollment, and work-based learning experiences. Thisprogram aligns with and provides direct aid to schools to implement theGovernor’s emphasis on workforce development (S.B. 66 and S.B. 19).
