Quality Rating and Improvement System QRIS (0-5 yrs)

Overview

QRIS star rating system is used to help families understand the level of quality in child care, preschool, and school-age care programs. QRIS was designed to help parents compare different programs by using the same set of standards.

Nevada's QRIS star rating is a 1 to 5-star level system, but it is not similar to Yelp's rating. All schools that participate in QRIS are doing additional work and putting in effort more than schools that keep their licensing requirements only.

QRIS does not take the place of a child care license. A child care license shows that providers have met basic health and safety requirements. QRIS is a way of measuring quality beyond health and safety requirements.

In order to search for star rating of all programs you can check this link

You can search a specific school or you can search all preschool close to you, but choose how many miles you are searching around your your location. The number of the blue stars are the star rating level of a school. For example, if you see 2 blue stars, that means that the school is 2 star level. You will see the licensing report also attached to the school profile.
