Overview
Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), in broad terms, is to even the playing field for our low-achieving children and youth, high poverty children and youth, Limited English Proficient (LEP) children and youth, children and youth experiencing migrant situations, students with disabilities (SWD), Indian children and youth, and neglected or delinquent children and youth.
