School Wellness

Overview

The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is proud to support the wellness of our communities.  We honor the CDC's (2018) "Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child" approach to the overall health of our students and staff members.  In this collaborative systems approach, the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model addresses barriers and supports related to learning and health.

 On this webpage you will find space around healthy lifestyles and access to health in our schools.  In honoring the WSCC model we have resources on all aspects of health but have separated them into behavioral health and school nursing to create ease of navigation on this webpage.
