Overview

In 2019, Assembly Bill 276 created the Nevada State Teacher Recruitment and Retention Advisory Task Force to evaluate and address the challenges of attracting and retaining teachers throughout Nevada. The Task Force, consisting of teachers from each of Nevada's 17 counties, makes recommendations to the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Education (LCE) to address these challenges. A report is presented to the LCE in June of each even-numbered year and to the Director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau on or before February 1 of each odd-numbered year.
