Renewal Requirements Overview

  • Regulation 088-23 adopted September 16, 2024 – Updated NAC 391.065 and 391.080.

    • Allows a licensee to obtain continuing education at any time during the licensure period.

    • Updates required continuing education to equal 90 clock hours, 6 semester credit hours or a combination of clock hours and credit hours.

    • Ensures that continuing education activities for licensure renewal hours are offered by approved providers as described by NAC 391.080.

    • Confirms that colleges/universities, local education agencies, employer organizations, and regional professional development programs are approved providers of continuing education.

    • Provides an approval process for other providers of continuing education to ensure they meet the Nevada Learning Standards in NAC 391A.300.
