Nevada State Board of Education Changes Board Meeting Days and Times
May 25, 2023
Carson City, Nev. - The Nevada State Board of Education (SBE or Board) will now hold its meetings on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays. In addition, SBE will be shifting to a summer schedule for its June and July board meetings. The board meetings will be held at 9:00 A.M. instead of 2:00 P.M. in June and July.
The Board voted to make the schedule changes during its April meeting. SBE decided to create a summer schedule because board members felt it would be easier for the public to attend during the cooler morning hours. During the school year, the Board wants to ensure teachers and students can attend, so they kept the meetings at 2:00 P.M.
