LAS VEGAS, Nev. – On Saturday, April 15th at 9:00 A.M. the Nevada State Board of Education will be hosting a workshop to discuss the topic of high school start times. There is research showing that school start times affect academic outcomes for high school students. There are also many considerations that go into setting school start times, including transportation, educator availability, after-school sports and extracurricular activities, and family constraints. The Nevada State Board of Education wants to hear from all interested parties and invites the public to take part in the workshop. Please join in person or submit a public comment to NVBoardEd@doe.nv.gov. You can find links to meeting materials on our Nevada State Board of Education webpage.
