Saturday, April 15th at 9:00 A.M.: Nevada State Board of Education to Host High School Start Times Workshop in Las Vegas
This will be the third workshop to gather information and public feedback on start times for high school students, previous workshops were held in Las Vegas and Carson City
LASVEGAS, Nev. – On Saturday,April 15th at 9:00 A.M. the Nevada State Board of Education will be hosting a workshopto discuss the topic of high school start times. There is research showing thatschool start times affect academic outcomes for high school students. There arealso many considerations that go into setting school start times, including transportation,educator availability, after-school sports and extracurricular activities, andfamily constraints. The Nevada State Board of Education wants to hear from all interestedparties and invites the public to take part in the workshop.
