The Nevada Department of Education, Office of Technical, Career, and Adult Education oversees the State-level administration of the following assessments:

• The GED® Test is owned and administered by GED Testing Service LLC. (external link)
• The HiSET® exam is owned and administered by PSI. (external link)

Nevada recognizes successful completion of the complete battery of an authorized high school equivalency exam as demonstration of achieving an educational level which is an acceptable substitute for completing a high school education.

A Nevada High School Equivalency Certificate is issued to each person who has passed an authorized HSE exam.
