QRIS Partners
Welcome to the QRIS Partners webpage, where we highlight the key entities involved in Nevada's Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS). Established in 2012, QRIS aims to set quality guidelines for childcare and education providers across the state.
At QRIS Partners, we collaborate with various organizations to support and enhance the QRIS program:
- Children's Cabinet: Provides coaching, training, and technical assistance to QRIS providers, ensuring they receive the guidance and support necessary for quality improvement.
- University of Nevada- Reno Extension: Responsible for assessments and ECE (Early Childhood Education) training, the University of Nevada- Reno Extension plays a vital role in elevating the skills and knowledge of the ECE workforce.
- Division of Welfare and Supportive Services: Through CCDF (Child Care and Development Fund) funds, the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services actively contributes to the implementation of QRIS in Nevada, with a focus on improving childcare quality.
- Nevada Institute for Children's Research and Policy (NICRP): NICRP conducts annual evaluations of the Quality Rating Improvement System, producing comprehensive reports that provide insights and recommendations for further enhancements.
- Nevada Department of Education: The Office of Early Learning & Development, under the Nevada Department of Education's oversight, ensures effective statewide implementation of QRIS, working towards the continuous improvement of early learning programs.
Together, these QRIS partners are committed to enhancing the quality of early childhood education and care in Nevada. By promoting best practices, providing support, and evaluating progress, we strive to create a nurturing and enriching environment for all children in our state.
