The Nevada Department of Education’s five new strategic priorities are informed by feedback provided during Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Victor Wakefield’s statewide listening tour.

Our vision is that every day, students build knowledge of the world, engage with grade-level content and instruction, solve complex problems together, and make progress toward their post-secondary goals.

To achieve this vision, we have defined five key priorities: Strong Foundations, Empowering Pathways, Equipped Educators and Leaders, Informed and Connected Families, and Aligned Systems.

These new strategic priorities strengthen classroom instruction, improve college and career readiness, and better align support for schools and districts.

Collectively, we can ensure that every Nevada student has access to a high-quality public education and an opportunity to thrive.
