? Calling all Nevada students in grades 3-12! ? The 2025 EngineerGirl Writing Contest is here, and this year’s challenge is to “Make an Object Smart!” ?? Imagine taking an everyday object and engineering it to be “smart." Tell us what it would do, how it could help people, and even what might go wrong.

This is an exciting opportunity for students to show off their creativity and problem-solving skills while practicing writing - a crucial skill in engineering. Engineers need strong communication skills to share their ideas, explain complex concepts, and collaborate on solutions. This contest ties perfectly with Nevada's Portrait of a Learner, encouraging students to think critically and empathetically about the world around them. ??
