Saturday, April 15th at 11:15 A.M.: Nevada Department of Education to Hold Public Hearing on Executive Order 2023-003
The order requires a review of existing regulations
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – On Saturday, April 15th at 11:15 A.M. the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) will be hosting a public hearing on Executive Order 2023-003.The order was enacted on January 12, 2023. The order requires all executive branch agencies, departments, boards, and commissions to review existing regulations and create a list of at least ten regulations for recommended removal. The purpose of the hearing is to gather public input to recommend changes or removal of regulations surrounding education and educator licensure. Feedback from the public will then be used as part of a report to the Governor. The Nevada Department of Education wants to hear from all interested parties and invites the public to take part in the hearing. Please join in person or you can watch virtually via Livestream.
