The Nevada District Performance Framework (NDPF) was designed to provide a clear and consistent way to report how well school districts support students and improve overall school performance. The NDPF was created in alignment with Senate Bill 460 (SB460, 2025), which directs the state to monitor essential district conditions such as qualified educator coverage, equitable staffing in Title I schools, access to high quality instructional materials, rigorous coursework opportunities, and fiscal stability.

The NDPF evaluates district performance through two primary components. The District Supports component examines how districts build and maintain the systems needed for strong learning environments. It looks at the coverage rate of qualified educations in classrooms, the coverage rate of qualified educators in Title I schools compared to Non-Title I schools, whether districts are using high-quality instructional materials, college and career readiness coursework enrollment, and the district’s overall financial stability.

The School Outcomes component evaluates the results districts produce by rolling up the Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF) at the district level to generate star ratings at the elementary, middle, and high levels, and tracks whether districts reduce the number of schools rated at 1 or 2 stars compared with the prior year.

District Supports and School Outcomes results combine into an annual NDPF rating, providing a straightforward, transparent view of district performance and progress.

NDPF data and information will be annually published on Nevada Accountability Portal.
